Ecobank Head Office

The Headquarters for Ecobank in Ghana is the first office building project designed by Mobius Architecture  in Joint-Venture Partnership with ARC Architects, Pretoria, South Africa and begins to expose on emerging trends in office design globally.

This 14-storey, 24,340 square metre building with spectacular views over the Civic Precinct of the City of Accra and the Atlantic Ocean. Situated at the corner of the Independence Avenue and Morocco Road, the building gives clear definition to the Independence Avenue and to the Efua Sutherland Park which faces it.

The Concept evolves from the Idea of Infinity. The Architecture is programmatically 2 towers, a 5-Storey building and a 14-Storey building linked by ‘The Street’, a 5 level space which is linked by organic bridge walkways which maximize the sense of openness within the building. The Main Lobby boasts of a 7 meter high bespoke limestone wall which forms the backdrop to the custom-made lighting pendants and the main entry counter.

The building boasts of a custom made perforated double skin facade which displays the map of Africa and the world. Together with the horizontal and vertical shading fins on the South-West and the North-East facades the building is well shaded.

The location of the unique building, its architecture and the history of Pan-Africanism align to create this Icon in Ghana.
